Every trip to the junkyard is an adventure. You’ll see some interesting things, find some stuff you need, meet unusual people and learn a lot along the way. And there’s something in male DNA that we just like to play in the mud. It’s certainly not for everyone though.
Today I was on the hunt for a GM 3.4 DOHC engine, which I finally found in a ’95 Monte Carlo:
The large bloodstain in front of the car is from the last person who worked on it, and I ended up contributing some of my own.
I needed a bunch of stuff from it. Plug wires, injectors, vacuum lines, intake plenum, front cam cover, EGR valve, and torque strut.
Took me about an hour to remove everything I needed.
