Ice Storm – Bites the Benz
The Great Seattle Wind Storm of 2006
So if you haven’t heard already, there was a tremendous wind storm in the Seattle area on Thursday and Friday, with winds from 60mph to over 100mph. This took down trees and power lines all over the area and has led stupid people to do stupid things, entire families to die from their mistakes, smart people to get caught off guard, and intuition affording one family amazing luck. The death toll at this writing is a dozen people but there’s undoubtedly more to come.

This emotion could have manifested itself in many different ways–not all of them pleasant–but fortunately, it went the way of simple joy. It’s a great thing to experience, especially without the use of any chemical compounds.
Thoughts on the post-election results
I have to say, my faith in my fellow voters has been restored after Tuesday. At least we sent the only message we could, shit’s got to change. Cheney’s a fucking loon as well, and he needs to find himself a nice retirment hobby at the NRA’s shooting range out there off I-66 in Chantilly.
